Classical Acupuncture
Classical Acupuncture is a rare and comprehensive approach to treating all conditions under the sun, whether it's pain or disease--both acute as well as chronic/degenerative. Classical Acupuncture differs from more commonly practiced "TCM" or Traditional Chinese Medicine, in that its roots go back to the Han Dynasty, over 2,000 years ago. My training at the Swedish Institute gave me the opportunity to study with a genuine Master, Jeffrey Yuen. Jeffrey is an 88th Generation Daoist Priest in the Jade Purity sect, and 29th Generation in the Complete Reality Sect.
My training includes a highly unusual acupuncture approach to the "Shang Han Lun" tradition (aka the Treatise on Injury Due to Cold) which demands an understanding the past, present and future possibilities of your condition. Within this tradition, there is a way of realizing how, for example, your chronic post-nasal drip could be related to your arthritis, and how to treat your cold or flu. The Shang Han Lun tradition conveys the idea of "disease transmission;" how conditions can start, and progress into a chronic situation---and more importantly, how to treat them.
Unlike TCM, which is limited to the 16 Primary Meridians, in Classical Acupuncture, we have access to the 74 "Secondary Vessels." The Secondary Vessels allow me to work not only the musculature and the blood levels of the body, but also with the bone level--the deepest level of the body. The bone, or the Jing level is the level where we can most effectively treat chronic disease such as arthritis, autoimmune conditions and cancer.
With Sinew Treatments, I can most effectively treat skeletal pain conditions that occur with movement: sports injuries or repetitive strain conditions--such as shoulder pain, knee pain, lower back pain---restoring functionality, range of motion and reducing inflammation. This treatment is also effective, however for long-term injuries, and I have even had good results treating facial paralysis with this method.
With Luo Vessel Treatments, I gain access to the level of the blood, the realm of the emotions and the spirit---an instrumental aspect of healing. By treating the blood and spirit, pain can be relieved on both the physical, spiritual and emotional levels; hope can be restored. Not only is inflammation reduced, but also emotional conditions can be treated, from acute sadness to chronic resentment and anger. The Luo vessels also offer hope for treating mental illness, including Bi-Polar, Depression, Obsession-Compulsive Disorder as well as addictive behavior.
With Divergent Meridian treatments, I can utilize the connection between the superficial lymphatic system (what we call Wei Qi), and the deeper hormonal level; the bone level (what we call Yuan Qi). Divergent Meridian treatments can be used to treat chronic pain, arthritis, autoimmune conditions as well as cancer.
With the Eight Extraordinary Vessels, the deepest level of the body is accessed, the bone level, or the Yuan Qi level. It is with these vessels that we can address conditions of the most stubborn nature--including genetic conditions and long-persisting conditions. The Eight Extraordinary Vessels are magical, in that they have a connection to the genetic past---in fact, one of these Vessels is actually created while we are in our mother's womb. The Eight Extraordinary Vessels can therefore be used to treat the most deeply intractable conditions, since they go to the deepest root.
